Engineering geodesy
Geodetic support is mandatory during the phase of planning, as well as during the construction phase various objects such as roads, buildings and industrial facilities.
The inclusion of the geodetic engineer starts with him providing the current state of the construction area and is followed by the stakeout procedure for purposes of managing the earthworks and fine positioning of the future objects.
This process is quite often disregarded and characterized as an additional cost, but it is important to understand that adequate geodetic supervision can potentially save costs with timely actions.
Some of the services within engineering geodesy and construction participation:
-
Preparation of staking-out reports
-
Staking out of buildings and technical details
-
Calculation of excavation and/or embankment volumes
-
Estimation of excavation and/or embankment volumes for cost estimate purposes
